Renada C. Anderson, a prolific speaker and inspiring leader is a native of Rankin County, Mississippi from the small town of Puckett. Renada is the second oldest child of her parents, Cleve and Joyce Brown. When Lady Anderson was a young girl, she developed a passion for singing while attending Sylvarena Missionary Baptist Church in Johns, MS. Each Sunday she was eager to get to church because she knew she had a job to do. Some of her fondest memories from Sylvarena took place during their annual choir anniversary and Vacation Bible School each summer.
Lady Renada’s desire for learning more about Christ and the components of Christian living became very important to her when she was twenty-three. Therefore, she rededicated her life to Christ while attending Truevine Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles Randall. Lady Renada wanted to experience something different in her life. Thus, she did because she no longer attended church out of tradition but because of the powerful experience from worship and the Word that was birth in the sanctuary each Sunday and Wednesday services.
As life allowed her to take several detours, one of the best paths she stumbled upon was the one that led her to become friends with her beloved husband, Jonathan J. Anderson, founder and pastor of Desired Nation who often quotes, “When our desires don’t line up with God’s requirements, we need to change our desires.” She is so elated that she and God both desired her to be Pastor Jonathan’s good thing. After making a commitment of saying I do and I will on July 19, 2008, things have continued to be good. Lady Renada and Pastor Jonathan have been blessed with four children: Darion, Thaddeus, Raelyn, & Nathaniel.
Professionally, Lady Anderson is a teacher for Biloxi Public School District. As an educator, she passionately cares about the whole child. She has earned her Associate of Arts from Holmes Community College, a Bachelor of Science from Belhaven University, and two Master degrees from Belhaven University and Mississippi College.
